1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
When our minds are filled with worries, it can feel like we are carrying more than we can handle. But when we slow down and turn our attention to God, we can find strength and peace even when life around us feels uncertain.
There are times when life feels too heavy, and our own strength is not enough. God reminds us that we do not have to face difficult situations alone. When we feel tired, worried, or overwhelmed, we can depend on God for strength. He can give us the courage to keep going even when we do not know what will happen next.
Quiet time with God gives us an opportunity to step away from the noise and calm our minds. When we spend time praying, reflecting, and listening to God, we can experience a deeper sense of peace.
We may still have problems waiting for us, but our hearts can become calmer when we place them before God. Sometimes, what we need most is not another solution but a moment to remember that God is near.
There are thoughts and problems that continue to bother us throughout the day. Instead of allowing them to control our minds, we can bring them to God and trust Him with them. God can work in situations that we cannot change or understand.
He may not always answer in the way we expect, but we can trust that He sees what we cannot see. Surrendering our worries to God allows us to focus on what we can do while leaving the things beyond our control in His hands.
Negative news, difficult circumstances, and uncertain situations can easily make us afraid. We do not have to let fear control our decisions because God is greater than the things that trouble us. Knowing that God is with us can give us confidence even when the situation around us is difficult.
We can choose to focus on God’s presence instead of constantly thinking about what could go wrong. When we keep our eyes on God, we can face difficult days with greater peace and courage.

Hi, I’m Pat, the creator of Pen, Paper, and Prayer, a Christian community created to reach people who need to know Jesus and encourage fellow believers in their walk with Christ. I created this space to share faith, testimonies, and lessons from real-life situations that others may relate to. I am also part of a church worship team and occasionally volunteer in other churches. Through writing, music, and service, I hope to glorify God and help make Jesus known.

Difficult seasons can make us focus on fear and uncertainty. But when we remember God’s faithfulness and the ways He has carried us through the past, we can face today with greater trust. His love is broad, His presence is constant, and He remains in control.

Life can bring moments when we feel afraid, confused, or unsure about what to do next. When circumstances become difficult, we can choose to keep our eyes on Jesus instead of allowing fear to control us.

Have you ever wondered what God’s love really means and whether His love is still for you? The Bible speaks about God’s love as something deeper than a feeling, because it is a love that reaches, forgives, transforms, and gives hope.

Have you ever asked God, “Why am I going through this difficult situation when I am being obedient to You?” Life can sometimes take unexpected turns, leaving us confused, discouraged, and questioning God’s plan.

As the world continues to drift further from God, sharing the Gospel and fulfilling the Great Commission can feel increasingly challenging. Many people are hesitant or even resistant to conversations about faith, leaving believers wondering, “How can I share the Good News in a way that reaches their hearts?”.
