18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Have you ever looked at the beauty of nature and wondered how magnificent the God who created it must be? From the vastness of the heavens to the smallest details of life, creation gives us reasons to recognize God’s power, wisdom, and greatness.
The beauty of God’s creation gives us a glimpse of how great and magnificent He is. From the vastness of the universe to the smallest details of nature, everything reminds us that there is a Creator behind what we see. God has made Himself known, yet people can still choose to ignore His truth. Recognizing God’s greatness begins when we open our eyes to His creation and acknowledge the One who made it all.
When we look at the mountains, oceans, stars, and living creatures, we see evidence of God’s eternal power and divine nature. Although we cannot see God physically, His creation helps us recognize His greatness and wisdom. The more we appreciate the world around us, the more reasons we have to stand in awe of its Creator. Creation is not meant to take God’s place, but to point us toward Him.
Although creation reveals God’s greatness, people can make the mistake of appreciating what God has made while forgetting to honor Him. We may become so focused on money, possessions, relationships, success, or the beauty of the world that these things take God’s place in our hearts. Romans 1 warns us about exchanging the glory of the immortal God for created things. We should enjoy God’s gifts with gratitude, but always remember that the Creator deserves more honor and worship than anything He has created.
When people continually reject God’s truth and choose their own sinful desires, Romans 1:24 warns that God may give them over to those desires. This is a serious reminder that repeatedly resisting God can lead us deeper into sin and its consequences. It is not that God has no mercy for people who struggle with sin, but that we should never treat His patience as permission to keep disobeying Him. If creation reveals how great God is, then our response should be to honor Him, turn away from sin, and surrender our lives to Him rather than continue living as though we do not need Him.
God’s creation reveals His greatness, power, and wisdom, giving us countless reasons to worship Him. Let us never become so focused on the things He has made that we forget the One who made them. Instead of rejecting His truth and following our own desires, let us honor our Creator, turn away from sin, and live in a way that reflects His greatness.
Hi, I’m Pat, the creator of Pen, Paper, and Prayer, a Christian community created to reach people who need to know Jesus and encourage fellow believers in their walk with Christ. I created this space to share faith, testimonies, and lessons from real-life situations that others may relate to. I am also part of a church worship team and occasionally volunteer in other churches. Through writing, music, and service, I hope to glorify God and help make Jesus known.

But does God really choose who He wants to bless? Does He randomly just send showers of blessings to people? Do you think that sometimes some people who do not believe in God are more blessed and capable than you?

Your past does not have to define your future. God can free you from sin, restore your relationship with Him, and lead you toward His purpose as you put your faith in Jesus.
