1 Hear us, Shepherd of Israel,
you who lead Joseph like a flock.
You who sit enthroned between the cherubim,
shine forth 2 before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh.
Awaken your might;
come and save us.
3 Restore us, O God;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
4 How long, Lord God Almighty,
will your anger smolder
against the prayers of your people?
5 You have fed them with the bread of tears;
you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
6 You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors,
and our enemies mock us.
7 Restore us, God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
8 You transplanted a vine from Egypt;
you drove out the nations and planted it.
9 You cleared the ground for it,
and it took root and filled the land.
10 The mountains were covered with its shade,
the mighty cedars with its branches.
11 Its branches reached as far as the Sea,
its shoots as far as the River.
12 Why have you broken down its walls
so that all who pass by pick its grapes?
13 Boars from the forest ravage it,
and insects from the fields feed on it.
14 Return to us, God Almighty!
Look down from heaven and see!
Watch over this vine,
15 the root your right hand has planted,
the son you have raised up for yourself.
16 Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire;
at your rebuke your people perish.
17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand,
the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
18 Then we will not turn away from you;
revive us, and we will call on your name.
19 Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
Like Asaph, we can turn to God when life becomes uncertain. Instead of allowing fear to control us, we can bring our concerns to God and trust Him with what we cannot control.
Remembering God’s faithfulness helps us face difficult seasons. When we look back at how God has protected, helped, and carried us, we are reminded that He has not abandoned us.
God’s love reaches us in every situation. Whether we experienced sickness, loss, recovery, or protection during COVID-19, we can trust that God’s love and care remain present.
We may not always understand why things happen, but we can remember that God sees the bigger picture. Instead of allowing fear to take over, we can keep our eyes on God and trust Him with our present and future.
Whatever season we are facing, we can continue to lean on God and remember His faithfulness. Fear may come, but we can trust that God is with us, His love remains, and He is always in control.

Hi, I’m Pat, the creator of Pen, Paper, and Prayer, a Christian community created to reach people who need to know Jesus and encourage fellow believers in their walk with Christ. I created this space to share faith, testimonies, and lessons from real-life situations that others may relate to. I am also part of a church worship team and occasionally volunteer in other churches. Through writing, music, and service, I hope to glorify God and help make Jesus known.

When you don’t know what to do, where do you turn? We can ask God for wisdom and help, trusting that He hears us even when the answer is not immediate. When doubt and temptation come, we can keep our faith strong and choose to surrender our desires to God instead of giving in.

Life can bring moments when we feel afraid, confused, or unsure about what to do next. When circumstances become difficult, we can choose to keep our eyes on Jesus instead of allowing fear to control us.

When worries fill your mind, it can be difficult to find peace and strength. But you can bring every concern to God, trust Him with what you cannot control, and remember that you do not have to face difficult days alone.

It can be difficult to stay patient when people do wrong and seem to get away with it. When evil around us makes us angry or discouraged, we can choose to trust God, continue doing what is right, and leave justice in His hands. God sees everything, and we can remain patient while trusting His timing.

Life can become overwhelming when problems keep coming and we do not know what to do next. We may search for strength, hope, help, or peace in many places, yet still feel empty inside. Sometimes, the answer begins with simply coming to Jesus and trusting Him with what we cannot control. When we turn to Him in difficult moments, we can find the strength to keep going and the peace to face another day.

Have you ever asked God, “Why am I going through this difficult situation when I am being obedient to You?” Life can sometimes take unexpected turns, leaving us confused, discouraged, and questioning God’s plan.

Have you ever wondered what God’s love really means and whether His love is still for you? The Bible speaks about God’s love as something deeper than a feeling, because it is a love that reaches, forgives, transforms, and gives hope.

As the world continues to drift further from God, sharing the Gospel and fulfilling the Great Commission can feel increasingly challenging. Many people are hesitant or even resistant to conversations about faith, leaving believers wondering, “How can I share the Good News in a way that reaches their hearts?”.
